Better Homes For Kent
Kent's top housing bosses along with county leaders, attend a conference at the Princes Park Centre in Dartford.As pubic funding will be severely limited in the future according to the coalition government's Comprehensive Spending Review, Kent are looking across the whole county bringing district, borough, unitary and county council ambitions together through a local approach.

Kevin Lynes, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development attended to express his concerns to the current housing situation across Kent.
Paul Carter, Leader of Kent County Council, also highlighted the housing growth problem having to deal with higher legislative building costs.
Bob Kerslake, Permanent Secretary at the Department for Communities and Local Government, emphasised his ideas upon transferring central government power to local authorities.
Consultation has been extensive over the last year and the strategy blends expertise and experience from across the private, public and voluntary sectors. The new strategy report issued and the innovative solutions proposed will undoubtedly have national application and impact.
